About Gail Ruth

Gail Ruth has believed in Jesus since the early 1960s and has spent time in many diverse streams of the Body of Christ. She has crafted poetry on and off since shortly after she learned to read and write. In college, she started composing melodies for her words, because nobody wanted to listen to poems.

In midlife, Gail began chasing the promised abundant life version of faith in Jesus. Eventually, one of her pleasures became setting Scripture passages to song as she meditates on them. It is astounding how often she has been shocked by actually seeing what a verse is saying –– a verse she had been singing and pondering for a long time –– as if something emerged from nowhere, but it had been right there in plain sight the whole time!

Clarity began to skyrocket in September 2021 as she took new questions to the Scriptures and prayer. (If you don’t frame the question right, you can’t solve the problem.) Almost a year later, the big picture came together, and the Bible as a whole –– the harsh parts and the gentle parts –– made sense. And now even the harsh-sounding passages became meaningful in a practical, life-giving way without befouling the agapé love identity of God, and without rejecting a single revelation of the Scriptures.

Since then, the new mystery Gail Ruth is chasing is distilling this into clear teachings and crafting effective ways of communicating it. She requests prayer for clarity.
